Torrance, California is located in the South Bay area in Los Angeles County. It has 1.5 miles of coastline and 90,000 trees along the city's streets. The land now known as Torrance was issued to Juan Jose Dominguez in the Rancho san Pedro Spanish Land Grant of 1784.
