2 men who beat victim into coma in Riverside released without additional jail time

Two defendants who beat a man into a coma at a Riverside park in June were sentenced to time served Wednesday, Dec. 5, after a charge of aggravated mayhem was dropped as part of a plea bargain. Danny Fernando Flores , 34, and Hector Carrillo Murillo , 26, pleaded guilty to felony assault causing great bodily injury for the June 7 attack on a 24-year-old man at Myra Linn Park in the 4500 block of Meredith Street.
