A Perris man gunned down in the front doorway of his home in September 2017 was the "unintended target" of three members of a Hemet gang looking for rivals in the victim's neighborhood, according to law enforcement documents filed in a murder case. Curtis McDaniel, 43, was fatally shot at his home on Raven Hollow Drive almost a year ago, and this week the Riverside County Sheriff's Department disclosed arrests and murder charges filed against three men in his death.
