Ag Youth Council Connects City Kids to Life on the Farm

This week, the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council will introduce elementary-school students in the city to life on the farm. The NAYC's annual Urban Youth Farm Tour connects students from Lincoln with nearby farmers and ranchers so the children can experience agriculture up close and learn how food is produced.

Another Round Of UNL Budget Cuts Proposed

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Ronnie Green has proposed budget reductions for 2018-19 that will eliminate two academic programs and at least 18 faculty and staff positions, as well as funds used to retain faculty and support academic programs. The seven proposals, totaling $2.9 million, are in response to the 1% reduction in state support for the university, approved by the Legislature and signed by the governor earlier this month.

Search for Tool Thief

Police are investigating after a burglar stole various tools and two vehicles from a Lincoln business on Tuesday morning. The incident took place at NNN Auto Sales and Services, located at 1519 West O Street around 4:30 a.m. on April 17.
