About: lancaster, california

The Civic Musical Road was built by Honda in Lancaster in 2008. It consisted of a .25 mile road with rumble strip-like grooves to produce music. The song that played if driven over is the Finale of the William Tell Overture. It was paved over later that year, because the noise level of the music produced bothered residents of Lancaster who lived nearby. A month later it was recreated, this time further from residential areas.
