Motorcyclist killed after being run over following Terminal Island crash, police say

Long Beach police on Friday were searching for two vehicles that struck a 58-year-old motorcyclist on Terminal Island after a crash threw him into oncoming traffic, killing him, authorities said. The victim, a Huntington Beach resident, was apparently speeding east on Ocean Boulevard on his Triumph America motorcycle east of the 47 Freeway just before 8 p.m. Thursday, when he rear-ended an Acura TL and was thrown into a westbound lane, police said in a news release.
