Illegal sewage dumping draws prison term for company owner

The owner of a Southern California portable toilets business has been sentenced to prison for illegally dumping waste to avoid fees. The San Diego Union-Tribune says a federal judge on Wednesday sentenced Diamond Environmental Services owner Arie Eric De Jong III to five months in prison, a fine and three years of probation.

A 24-year-old suspect was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of attacking a man and woman who were sleeping in a car in downtown Fullerton, authorities said. Brenden Jaylen Wright was arrested on suspicion of raping the woman and assaulting and robbing the man, according to police records.
