Suspects Arrested in Connection to Fontana Shooting

Two suspects have been arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing a Fontana father who had stopped to pick up food for his wife and two children, police say. Jorge Luis Marquez, known by friends and family as "El Tigre," was found unconscious inside his car outside of his brother's house on Thursday night with a gunshot wound to his arm and torso.

Crews tackled a fire in Fontana on the 210 Freeway on Thursday and also dealt with a small plane that made an emergency landing nearby in Upland. Eric Sherwin, spokesman for the San Bernardino County Fire Department, said the fire started near the intersection of the 210 and 15 freeways at roughly 3 p.m. The fire department had 75 people and 14 engines on-scene fighting the fire.
