The city of Westminster, California, was founded in 1870 by Rev. Lemuel Webber as a Presbyterian colony. Westminster is a landlocked city that’s bordered by Seal Beach, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley, but it’s only a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. Originally, the city was named Tri-City because it was the formation of three cities: Westminster, Barber City and Midway City. A large Vietnamese population took up residence here in the ‘70s, in an area now known as Little Saigon.

SANTA ANA A 50-year-old Westminster man was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Friday for robbing 13 stores in Orange County with a replica firearm.
