Participants sought for Veterans Day parade

Veterans whose stories were told this year as part of the Tribune Chronicle veterans series are invited to be part of the annual Trumbull County Veterans Day parade Nov. 11 in downtown Warren. The 910th Airlift Wing Color Guard will lead the parade and the marching band from Warren G. Harding High School will participate, but the opportunity exists for other groups to be part of the annual event.

A city man accused of trying to rob a gas station while free on bond from a previous court case was indicted Tuesday by a Trumbull County grand jury on several charges connected to the Aug. 19 incident. Patrick W. McCombs, 27, 2239 Peace Ave. NW, faces charges of robbery with a firearm specification and receiving stolen property.

Police investigating shootings that wounded two

Police are investigating shootings that left two men hurt Friday and Sunday on the city's southeast and southwest sides. Police were called just after 5 p.m. Friday to Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren because Shaun Evans, 28, of Brier Street SE, had shown up there with gunshot wounds, according to a police report.
