Judge rejects call to reduce $1 million bail for alleged Torrance paintball shooter

Saying he was acting in the interest of public safety, a judge refused Tuesday to lower the $1 million bail for a man accused of shooting a Torrance resident in a drive-by paintball attack that has possibly cost the victim the sight in his right eye. Judge Thomas Sokolov, however, agreed to reduce the bail amounts for the two alleged accomplices of 20-year-old Tyler James Walters, although it was unclear whether Lynn Emerson Johnson III could make his $500,000 bail or Gabriella Lorraine Semana could make her new amount, $250,000.

Suspects in Torrance paintball attack could face life in prison

Two men and a woman arrested in the drive-by paintball attack that might have cost a Torrance man the vision in his right eye were charged Thursday with crimes that could send them to prison for the rest of their lives.
