A 23-year-old woman died early Friday when her car crashed through a block wall and came to rest on a front lawn in Gardena, police said. Katarina Whitlach, who lived in Gardena, was pronounced dead at County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center shortly after the 1:50 a.m. crash.
