Rochester man suspected of selling crack cocaine in Batavia

Cory D. "Stacks" Jackson, 34, of Oriole Street, Rochester, is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, 3rd, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, 3rd. Jackson allegedly sold crack cocaine to an agent of the Genesee County Local Drug Task Force on two occasions in August in the City of Batavia.

An appellate court has upheld a ruling that a Lewis County sheriff's deputy more than two years ago should have been allowed to withdraw his resignation because it was coerced. "Here, petitioner tendered his resignation under the threat of wrongful termination, and we therefore conclude that the Sheriff abused his discretion in refusing to allow petitioner to withdraw the resignation," states a decision from the Fourth Appellate Court in Rochester released Friday.
