Three County High Speed Chase Dashcam Video Released

Dashcam video has been released of a high-speed chase that took place on January 6th, beginning in Richland County and spanning Ashland and Median Counties moving north. This video shows the driver maneuvering dangerously through traffic at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour before stop sticks disabled their vehicle and ended the chase.

Troopers From Three Counties Involved In High-Speed Pursuit

The Mansfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was involved in a high-speed pursuit Saturday night on Interstate-71 northbound that encompassed three counties, beginning in Richland and traveling through Ashland and Medina counties. After activating the lights and siren of the cruiser in pursuit, the SUV climbed to speeds of 110 miles per hour.

Schools planning $1.2 million in improvements

This coming summer, the Medina City School District will begin to tackle a number of capital improvement projects at district facilities. MCS Business Manager Jon Burkhart told the school board Dec. 18 the various repairs and upgrades are projected to cost about $1.2 million, which should be covered by sales tax revenue the district gets annually.
