Residents are invited to join the City of Irving Capital Improvement Program Department for a neighborhood meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 to discuss paving and utility improvements on Hard Rock Road, from the eastbound State Highway 183 frontage road to approximately 1,600 feet south of the Pioneer Drive intersection, and Pioneer Drive, from Esters Road to Hard Rock. The meeting will be held in the First Floor Council Conference Room at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. Phase 2A work will improve Hard Rock to a three-lane undivided roadway and Pioneer Drive to a four-lane divided roadway, and include new sidewalks, driveway approaches, retaining walls, street lights and brick paver crosswalks.

Heritage Aquatic Center Renovations Scheduled for April...

The aquatic center, which opened in early 2003, will receive updates to its 120,000-gallon pool, including resurfacing. A new climate control unit will be installed to provide cooling and dehumidification of the air, as well as heat for the pools and spa.
