Albany cop admits he fled the scene of car crash

A city police officer pleaded guilty to a violation Thursday, admitting he fled the scene of a predawn-car crash in Pine Hills in May. The patrolman, Shawn Dixon, pleaded guilty before City Court Judge Holly Trexler to leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He agreed to pay $50 in restitution to the other driver involved.
